2. Khmer as a noun or adjective can refer to the Cambodian language, people, or culture and thus suggests an ethnic and linguistic identity more than a political entity.
3. The Khmer Republic
4. The economy is dominated by wet rice agriculture.
5. The ancient capital was Khmer Empire, close to present-day Siem Reap.
6. Khmer
7. The Austroasiatic language family and is related to Vietnamese, Mon, and a number of other Asian languages.
8. Ancient Khmer temple Angkor Wat
9. The staples are rice and fish. Breakfast typically consists of rice porridge or rice noodles. Lunch and dinner may be a combination of a spiced broth with fish or meat and vegetables, fish, fresh vegetables eaten with a fish-based paste, and stir-fried vegetables with chopped meat.

I think that I would leave and go somewhere else. I think that I would probably go to Canada because it's close to Maine. I think that I would be able to drive there. I would get all of my family, drive to Canada, and start a new life there.
If I was in the plane alone, and some of the people I was with weren't able to go into the same as me, I think that I would talk to some of the other people on the plane and try to become close with them. So that maybe we can help each other because maybe they don't have anyone anymore either.
I would probably be with my family, and if I wasn't with them I'd be with one of my friends. I wouldn't be alone. If I had my first choice I would go with my family, and leave my friends behind. If not everyone would go I would choose to stay with my friends if I was given the choice. I would rather be there with my friends, than go to some new, different place alone. If I wasn't given the choice I would leave behind my friends, and go with my family. If I ended up somewhere I've never been before and they didn't speak English, I would be really scared. I wouldn't know what to do, because no matter where I went I would still have no idea what was going on. Also, I would become really frustrated because I wouldn't know what anyone was saying.
I think that if I landed in China my life would change because their lifestyle is different than ours in the United States. I would have to meet new people, and learn a whole new language just to get a job and be able to live. I think life would be harder because I'd have to learn a whole new language, and also it would be hard to meet new people, and actually start a new life because you won't understand what that person is saying half the time.

Genocide

I know that genocide is a mass killing of a certain group of people.
I want to know about genocides that have happened in the past.

Sources

Valid: Information that is correct based on facts, useful, efficient, relevant, current.
Reliable: Information that is current and pertinent to today. Sources to back it up. Dependable.
Accurate: Finding it reliable in more than one source. (.edu, marvel)

One source I am using right now is a book, Out of Bounds by Jeff Benedict. I know that this book is valid, reliable, and accurate because it is written about real life cases, and the author did lots of research before he wrote the book.

Research Step 1

The past two days I have done research in English, I searched online about justice. I chose money and power does influence justice. I choose this topic because it is the one most appealing to me.

What do you think about when you hear research? When I hear research I think finding information about something using books, and the internet.
What are the steps in the research process? The steps in the research process are getting a topic, and finding information about that topic, and finally writing about that topic.
Discuss a research paper you did in the past. One research paper I have done in the past was when I did a project on the Holocaust, and I needed to find information about that event.
What were the positive and negative aspects of the experience? Some positive aspects were that I used books and they gave correct information. On the other hand, I also used the internet and some of the websites did not have correct information.
Describe  your final product. My final project was on the computer and I had to record myself talking about the most important events in the Holocaust.

Why should I get my license?

If I had my license I would be a big help. I could help you in multiple ways. First, I could help you bring Michael and Matthew to their sports because you are the only one who has their license in the house. Second, if I had my license you would have more time to do other things because you wouldn't be driving me, Michael and Matt around all the time. Also, I could bring myself to school so you could sleep in later. I should be able to go for my license because I am responsible and it will help you.

New Model

After viewing the New Model for Juvenile Justice something that stood out to me was that one of the girls did drugs her whole life. When she was 3 her dad put beer in her sippy cup, when she was 7 she smokes pot, when she was 10 she smokes cocaine and heroine. I find that amazing because I honestly didn't know what any of that was until probably sixth grade.

"Your therapist told you only about your physical healing.  That's the easy part.  Healing up there (emotional) is much harder to do." Rosie

-One way healing and change can take place in life is when someone dies. You have to take time to get used to the change and you also have to heal from the loss.
-I think in order to heal and change you have to except what happened. For example if someone died, and you were in denial about it you wont be able to heal or change.  Cole wont be able to heal unless he excepts what happened.
-Healing and change reflects culture because culture is always changing, and when something bad happens to the culture, they have to heal.

I chose a dolphin because they are kind, and happy. It reminds me of myself because I am kind to everyone, and I am rarely ever mad.
